  2. Very informative content, well done ! Now add a bit of soul to it by describing a few details of your actual journey from a personal point of view.........add things like "refreshed after a good rest, we set out for the beautifull water fall, the feel of the misty spray was heavenly"

    or

"the aroma of a freshly baked bread in the hillside bakery was tempting"

    or

"The nightimes used to be dedicated to a bit of card play over a few rounds of brandy"

^^^^these kinds of stuff........personalise it a bit more, right now it is too 'catalogue-ish'.......people expect more than a info-website feel from a blog, if you know what I mean.

Although, the a picture says a 1000 words, and your pictures are surely helping us to embark on the journey with you !

  3. Namchi Chardham, South Sikkim (World's Highest Mountain Statue)

^^^^^^^ The colourful temple on the left in this particular picture looks so much like the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai. Such similarity in architecture of Sikkim and the South of India is most fascinating !

  6. Thanks Core team,

What distinguishes a good blog from a great blog is that vital 'feel of personalisation' on part of the writer. Especially, in a travel related blog which promises to take the visitor on a journey with the blogger, some elements of the actual description of the journey would go a long way in bonding the reader with the blogger.......for example, say your train stopped unexpectedly at a quaint station where you had a great omelette......by all means, mention it ! That will add a lot of appeal, because by nature, humans love to eavesdrop into other people's lives.......I am not meaning to imply that you will have to start revealing each bit of your journey in its minutest details, like what toothpaste you use during your travel and so on.

See, blogging is a skill, and it can be balanced to tell enough, yet keep it nice and professional without going overboard. But a cold catalogue-ish feel would certainly be 'off-putting'

    Thanks,

    Sanjay
